Somer Valley club has for many years offered volunteer marshals at Glastonbury Festival.

Over six days, in rotational shifts, across 24 hours, we provided 580-man hours. In return the club receives funding from the festival organisers which we then use to support grants for our local community clubs and organisations throughout the year.
Along side this are the huge administrative efforts needed to create and maintain a sustainable shift rota, to get the marshal posts set up and fully compliant with Glastonbury Festival requirements and of course facilities to support all volunteers including tented refreshments area and an infamous Glastonbury mobile toilet.

A massive thank you and well done to everyone involved this year and to those who managed to enjoy some of the festival itself, we hope you enjoyed it.
