Somer Valley Rotary Award Paul Harris Fellowship Award
Somer Valley Rotary Award Paul Harris Fellowship Award
On the 27th Febuary, Somer Valley Rotary Club members, Alan Bowhay (President), Michal Cosh and Angela Jordan, visited member Maurice Chivers to award him a prestigious Rotary Foundation Paul Harris Fellowship. This fellowship was awarded in appreciation of his enormous fundraising contribution over many years in administering the club’s “100 Club”
The contributions have enabled local and overseas grants to be made for almost 30 years. Initially the brainchild of a former rotarian, Maurice took over the gauntlet of running the 100 club with great efficiency and quiet steadfastness.
Thank you Maurice from all past and present Somer Valley Rotary Club members and on behalf of the many hundreds of people who have benefitted from the grants awarded.
